All’alba del 3 febbraio 1979, un misterioso oggetto vola sopra la base aerea di Soesterberg, sotto gli occhi di almeno 20 soldati. Nonostante sia accaduto ai tempi della Guerra fredda, l’evento resta ancora oggi senza spiegazione. E non fu il solo avvistamento anomalo in quella specifica zona dei Paesi Bassi. Il regista Bram Roza dialoga con gente normalissima con storie stranissime, e le racconta da un punto di vista oggettivo. Richard Raaphorst, regista di Frankenstein’s Army, produce e realizza le animazioni per questo “Incontri ravvicinati di tipo olandese” oltre qualsiasi fantasia.
In the early morning of February 3, 1979, a mysterious object flew over Soesterberg Air Base. At least twelve soldiers witnessed this. Despite being in the middle of the cold war this event has still remained unexplained. And that is not the only anomalous sighting in that specific part of the Netherlands. Director Bram Roza speaks with very normal people who have very abnormal stories, and tells their stories from an objective point of view. Frankenstein’s Army director Richard Raaphorst produces and creates the animated illustrations for this weirder than fiction “Close encounters of the Dutch kind”.
