Le bombe sono esplose, la guerra è globale, ma André e Stéphanie non vogliono arrendersi: il Roland Garros è la loro vita, la loro ragione di vita. Organizzeranno il loro torneo ad ogni costo. Anche senza racchette, per no senza palline, con la sola incrollabile forza della loro fede. Ci credono così tanto che riescono a convincere Ralph, un guerrigliero della pianura, a unirsi a loro, riporre le armi, prendere in mano la racchetta ancora una volta per provare a vincere il Roland Garros! Tre disadattati, impegnati in un tennis “aereo” nel mezzo del nulla, lottano per un sogno, anche se la ne del mondo si avvicina e la vita sta diventando tutta una farsa.
