In un presente parallelo al nostro, l’ambizione è riuscire ad essere assunti nelle grandi aziende, micro-città dotate di ogni comfort. È qui che è nata una nuova figura professionale, il Monitor, che ha il compito di ascoltare sfoghi, dubbi e insicurezze degli altri lavoratori. Paolo è il miglior Monitor del suo reparto e, quando si sparge la voce che un dipendente ha tentato il suicidio, teme per la sua promozione. Le sue certezze cominciano a vacillare: forse l’azienda non è così perfetta come la si vuole far credere?
In a present parallel to ours, the greatest ambition is to get a job in the big companies, micro-cities with all sorts of comforts. This is where a new professional position is born, the Monitor, whose assignment is to listen to the outbursts, doubts and insecurities of the other workers. Paolo is the best Monitor of his department, and when word is spread that an employee has attempted suicide, he worries about his promotion. His certainties start to waver: perhaps the company is not as perfect as its employees are led to believe?
