Tales of Terror is split into three episodes, each adapted from one of Edgar Allen Poe’s many stories. Morella, The Black Cat (merged with a Cask of Amontillado) and The Facts in the Case of M. Valdemar. Corman had significant box office success and was lauded by critics for his adaptations of Poe’s novels, starting with 1960s House of Usher.
