Neon
The official selection of the Festival presents previews of the best science-fiction, horror and fantasy feature films, both in and out of competition. The first, second or third works by emerging authors compete for the Asteroide Award, European fantastic films compete for the Méliès d’argent Award working also as a nomination for the yearly contest of the Méliès d’or Award.
European Fantastic Shorts / Fantastic Shorts
The selection of short films of fantastic genre includes the European titles running for the Méliès d’argent Award (European Fantastic Shorts), assigned to the short film which receives the highest number of votes from the audience, and working also as a nomination for the yearly contest of the Méliès d’or Award, and the international ones, out of competition (Fantastic Shorts).
Spazio Italia / Spazio Corto
The programme dedicated to the protagonists and the productions of the Italian fantastic cinema presents classics and feature films (Spazio Italia), alongside short films and web series (Spazio Corto).
Sci-Fi Classix
The great classics of sci-fi cinema, in restored or vintage copies.
Futurologia
Science (fiction) documentary films, with presentations and follow-up meetings held by experts of the sector, in cooperation with local scientific institutions.
Audience Award
This competition is reserved to fiction feature films in any programmes, except for the Classix. The prize is awarded to the film which receives the most votes from the audience.
