2001. Cinema monsters give way to real monsters
The Festival takes place a few days after the tragic September 11 attacks. The Festival gives up the idea of the film collection MonsterS, while a retrospective exhibition – 13 Ghosts, dedicated to William Castle and curated by Alberto Farassino and Olaf Möller, in cooperation with Werkstatt Kino from Munich – takes place.
Many of the films that passed into the annals of the Festival history, such as Death Race 2000, a Paul Bartel’s film of 1975, have been recouped.
