On Saturday 2nd November, at 6.30pm in the Miela Theatre (free entry), there will be the screening of the documentary, “Maksimovič. The Story of Bruno Pontecorvo”. The film tells the story of the complex life of the great Italian nuclear physicist, Bruno Pontecorvo, born 100 years ago and made headlines with his choice to cross the Iron Curtain and work for the Soviet Union.The documentary, directed by Diego Cenetiempo and written by Giuseppe Mussardo, sees some of the most important international science centres located in Trieste among its producers, such as SISSA (International School for Advanced Studies), ICTP (The Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics), and INFN (The National Institute for Nuclear Physics), while the executive production of the film was entrusted to the production company Pilgrim Film.
So with this event, the strong collaboration continues between Trieste Science+Fiction and the main and prestigious scientific centres in the city. The writers, the director of ICTP Fernando Quevedo and the director of SISSA, Guido Martinelli will all be present at the screening.
