Basato su avvenimenti reali. Nel 1985, la stazione spaziale sovietica Salyut-7 sta orbitando, senza equipaggio, attorno alla Terra. Improvvisamente smette di rispondere ai segnali del Comando di Terra. Un’eventuale caduta della stazione, orgoglio della scienza e dell’industria spaziale sovietica, non solo danneggerebbe l’immagine del paese, ma sarebbe anche un’immane tragedia con perdita di vite umane. Per impedire la catastrofe, i cosmonauti dovranno raggiungere la stazione e trovare la causa del guasto. Ma nessuno ha mai cercato di attraccare una stazione spaziale fuori controllo. Ancora oggi, questa rimane la missione tecnicamente più complessa nella storia della navigazione spaziale.
The storyline is based on actual events of 1985. Salyut-7, the Soviet space station, was orbiting Earth in unmanned regime. Suddenly it stopped responding to signals from the Ground Control. The fall of the station, pride of the Soviet science and space industry, would not only damage the image of the country, but also bring about tragedy, as well as the loss of human lives. To prevent a catastrophe, cosmonauts will need to reach the station and identify the cause of the breakdown. However, nobody has ever docked with an uncontrolled space station in space before. To this day, this remains the most technically complicated mission in the history of space navigation.
