Gli interventi sottolineano il suo talento onirico e visionario, la sua capacità di inventare soluzioni tecniche di incredibile efficacia con budget irrisori e l’ironia tutta italiana che caratterizza il suo cinema. Eppure, nonostante i riconoscimenti internazionali, la fama di Bava in Italia è ancora modesta.
The documentary shows the career of the great master of the horror genre through archive material, the memories of his family, exclusive interviews to authors who have loved his films and have quoted his movies many times, the actors, technical staff, directors, producers and screenwriters who have worked with him, and the comments of the movie critics. Everyone agrees on his dreamlike, visionary talent, his ability to find incredibly effective technical solutions with little or no budget and his all Italian humour typical of his movies. Nonetheless, despite all his international recognition, Bava’s fame in Italy is still modest.
