Mirrormask è la storia di Helena, una quindicenne che lavora con la sua famiglia in un circo e che vorrebbe – paradossalmente – abbandonarlo per conoscere la vita reale. Ma non sarà questa l’occasione: si troverà ad affrontare uno strano viaggio nelle Terre Oscure, un mondo fantastico popolato da giganti, scimmie-uccello e pericolose sfingi. Helena è in cerca della Mirrormask, un oggetto dall’enorme potere, la sua unica speranza per fuggire dalle Terre Oscure, svegliare la Regina della Luce e tornare a casa.
Mirrormask is the story of Helena, a fifteen-year-old girl working for her family circus, who wishes – quite ironically- that she could run away from the circus and join real life. But this is not to be the case, as she finds herself on a strange journey into the Dark Lands, a fantastic landscape filled with giants, Monkeybirds and dangerous Sphinxes. Helena searches for the Mirrormask, an object of enormous power that is her only hope of escaping the Dark Lands, waking the Queen of Light and returning home.
