A Pays de Gex, al confine tra Francia e Svizzera, P.A. e i suoi compari sono all’ultimo anno di liceo. 100 metri sotto di loro, il “grande collisore di adroni” (LHC), il più potente acceleratore di particelle al mondo, fa collidere protoni per ricreare le condizioni di energia del big bang e rilevare particelle ancora sconosciute. Nel cuore dell’inverno, P.A. vede il mondo cambiare attorno a sé, e inizia ad osservare strani fenomeni. Se all’inizio i cambiamenti sembrano impercettibili, man mano il suo mondo sembra sempre più sull’orlo del precipizio.
Pays de Gex, on the French-Swiss border. P.A. and his homies are in their last year of high school. One hundred metres beneath their feet, the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), the most powerful particle accelerator in the world is crashing protons into each other to recreate the energy conditions of the big bang and detect previously unknown particles. As winter sets in and P.A. sees the world shifting around him, he starts to observe strange phenomena in the environment. The changes are imperceptible at first, but gradually his whole world seems to be on the brink.
