The festival has only just started, but it’s already time for the first award to be given.
The Nocturno Award for New visions will be given tonight at 22.15. the award is organised in collaboration with our historic partners of Nocturno Magazine and with Courmayeur Noir in Festival 2012, and is given to particularly relevant works by Italian and European filmmakers that innovate genre cinema. After Morituris, Rammbock and Shadow, this year the award will go to Butterfly Room, a thriller with strong psychological elements with a very special main actress: Barbara Steele.
Italian director Jonathan Zarantonello will be here to receive the award. He is also the author of the book that the movie is taken from, “Alice from 4 till 5”.
