Tuttavia, la loro crescente penetrazione di mercato e le loro significative capacità espressive, supportate da una costante innovazione tecnica, conferiscono loro un grande potenziale come mezzo di comunicazione. In questo intervento analizzeremo in che modo le correnti artistiche del passato abbiano influenzato le scelte stilistiche del soulslike Enotria: The Last Song. Offriremo una panoramica su quale sia il processo dietro la realizzazione di un personaggio fortemente ispirato al nostro folklore e come e quali decisioni, sia artistiche che di produzione, abbiano guidato il bilanciamento del character finale.

Video games are often considered as simple entertainment tools. However, their increasing ability to penetrate the market together with their significant expressive capacities, supported by constant technological advancements, convey these products with a great potential as a medium of communication. In this talk we will analyse how the artistic movements of the past have influenced the stylistic decisions of soulslike Enotria: The Last Song. We will offer a survey on what process lies behind the creation of a character strongly inspired by our folklore, and which decisions, both from an artistic and from a productive point of view, have guided the balancing of the final character.
