Un uomo si aggira per i boschi delle Alpi. Vive in un ex forte della prima guerra mondiale. Sembra avere una missione da compiere: è l’ultimo agente di una società segreta che negli anni ha evitato che la folle corsa atomica portasse l’umanità alla distruzione. Lucide visioni di un olocausto nucleare che balugina all’orizzonte accompagnano il suo girovagare. I nemici non sono più così facilmente identificabili, la perdita delle certezze, di una netta divisione del mondo tra bianco e nero lo fanno vacillare. Adesso la bomba è diventata la sua ossessione, il suo tormento e la sua unica ragione di vita.

A man prowls around the woods in the Alps. He lives in a World War I former stronghold. He appears to have a mission: he is the last agent of a secret society which for years has prevented the nuclear arms race to lead to the destruction of human kind. Clear-headed visions of the nuclear holocaust taking place on the horizon are his constant travel companions. Enemies are not easily recognizable, his certainties are lost, he stumbles in a world where the distinction between right and wrong is blurred. The bomb has become his obsession, his torment and his only reason to live.
