Simone è un giovane precario senza più aspirazioni, il Djinn è un genio della lampada dei tempi antichi ridotto ad esaudire desideri in uno squallido ufficetto di periferia. Il primo vuole un lavoro, il secondo vuole solo portare a termine il suo, di lavoro, e strappare più desideri possibili a Simone per ottenere altrettanti anni di vita.
Simone is a young temp without any real ambition left. The Djinn is a Djinn: an ancient and powerful genie reduced to granting wishes in a small office in the outskirts of town. When they meet, Simone asks him for a job – a real one – but the Djinn has a job of its own: extorting as many wishes, and therefore as many years of life, as he can from his clients.
